About the event

Scafell Pike is the highest and the most prominent mountain in England, at an elevation of 978 metres above sea level. It is located in the Lake District National Park, in Cumbria, and is part of the Southern Fells and the Scafell massif. Scafell Pike forms part of the inactive Scafells volcano.  https://www.mountaineerin.com/a-guide-to-climbing-scafell-pike/  It may take about 6h to climb up and down, including many stops as it is a tough climb. Driving route has narrow roads and has a lot of bends.

This is an extremely challenging walk so only go if you are an experienced and a fit walker. You need the correct walking gear, boots, walking sticks, layers of clothing, warm clothing for the peak, hat, gloves etc. It can be done in a day but you will need the whole day to include travelling there and back. You could also stay over for the night and return the next day if you want.

If you are a national trust member parking may be free but otherwise you will need to pay for parking using cash only.

Rehaan will be our Go To person
