About the event
Enjoy lovely views over Rudyard Lake as you wind your way through Rea Cliffe Wood, along Lake Road, and return to the start beside the steam railway line passing Hunthouse Wood and Back Wood. On the north side of the lake is Cliffe Park Station, which was opened in 1905 as part of the North Staffordshire Railway. The last part of the walk along the east side of the lake follows the former railway. This is a relatively flat and well-marked path that is suitable for a wide range of ages and fitness levels. Highlights include lovely views, easy paths, and cafes along the route. Challenges noted are small parking and muddy areas. Starting early and enjoying the cafes are recommended. Alltrails link
