Challenges include steep inclines and rocky descents. Wearing hiking boots and starting early are recommended

Mostly moderate walking on good paths, with some steps and steep climbs. Several gates and stiles. Please note that steep paths may be slippery after wet weather.
This is a beautiful circular route in a popular area of the Peak District, taking you up Mam Tor, one of the most iconic hills in England, and returning via Winnats Pass.
We will begin from the Mam Nick carpark (National Trust carpark, also called Hillfort carpark). Here we will read Fajr in jamaat then ascend via a series of well-maintained stone steps up to the summit of Mam Tor, which translates to Mother Hill, and is so named because of the small hills that surround it, formed by landslides.
