About the event
LATE NIGHT Walk -opportunity to pray Asr, Maghrib and Isha and eat food together. We will also stop off at hollingworth Lake for food/drinks/ice cream/food. The secluded Piethorne Valley is hidden from view and nestles in the folds of the high Pennine moors. Victorian reservoirs built to supply water to the surrounding area dominate the valley and provide a wonderful backdrop to this moorland walk. The valley holds many delights, with rolling hills, stunning scenery, picturesque waterways, and a wealth of history all waiting to be discovered.
10 mile moderately challenging walk. Around 6 hours in total. Circular walk starting from Piethorne valley to hollingworth Lake and back. Some repetition on way back but the views and scenery is worth it. Some inclines along the way. Nothing horrific. Good footwear needed.
