The Fallowfield Loop is an off-road cycle path, pedestrian and horse riding route from Chorlton-cum-Hardy through Fallowfield and Levenshulme to Gorton and Fairfield in Manchester. It is part of the National Cycle Network.
We will be walking from Levenshulme to Chorlton which is 5 miles, take a break at tea hive (wonderful cafe in Chorlton) and then walk back to Levenshulme. The walk is 10 miles and will take approximately 4-5 hours including the break. If you want to do just the 5 miles one way, that is fine. If you have parked your car at Levenshulme, you will need to plan how you will get back.
The walk is easy and mainly flat and paved all the way. This is an urban walk through central Manchester passing under roads that are familiar to us and is a great way to navigate this area by walking. The path itself is leafy and away from the main roads although we will need to get off the path at a couple of points to cross over tram lines and roads.
