About the event
The Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge is 24-miles (38.6km) round trip route, and includes 1585m (5200ft) of ascent.
The Challenge takes on the peaks of Pen-y-Ghent (694 metres), Whernside (736 metres) and Ingleborough (723 metres), usually in this order, and in 12 hours. These hills form part of the Pennine range, and encircle the head of the valley of the River Ribble, in the Yorkshire Dales National Park.
Every year thousands come to reach the top of at least one or to conquer all three in one go.
With spectacular scenery and amazing walking opportunities, this is a fantastic way to challenge yourself and test your stamina and endurance to the limit!
This walk is of high difficulty and training is highly recommended- see https://www.mountain-walks.co.uk/yorkshire-three-peaks-training-plan
Also we have planned to book a house for those wanting to come on Friday night and stay on Saturday night to make it a long weekend! But places are limited - contact Sofia now if you would like to stay there.
