The Pyg Track is one of the most popular and scenic routes to the summit of Snowdon, offering dramatic views over Glaslyn and the rugged peaks of Crib Goch. The return via the Miners’ Track provides a gentler descent, passing by beautiful mountain lakes.

About the event
This is an extremely challenging walk and is recommended for experienced walkers or those with good stamina.
We will be taking the Pyg Track up to the summit of Snowdon and returning via the Miners’ Track down. The meeting point will be at the Pen y Pass Warden Centre.
Distance: Approx. 7.5 miles (12 km) round tripAscent: 2,372 feet (723 metres)Time: About 5–6 hours (round trip, depending on pace)
