Rivington Pike, Horwich 1pm

There are many routes up to Rivington Pike and this one selected is not too long so hopefully you will all make it back in time before rush hour traffic.  The walk should take approximately 1.5 hours. Allow extra time for breaks. There are a couple of benches at the lake and summit otherwise lots of flat ground to sit on so feel free to bring snacks/drinks.  The path is rocky with a slight incline but nothing too ardous although this walk is not suitable for prams or very little children. There are over 100 steps to climb to the tower but depending on the needs of the group we can do these uphill or downhill, we can decide on the day.
