About the event
Enjoy stunning views and breathtaking scenery of Lyme Valley as you meander through the Middlewood countryside. The journey begins from Jacksons' Brickworks Local Nature Reserve car park and heads towards the east, where you will join a path that leads you along the charming Macclesfield Canal. After crossing the bridge near Higher Poynton, you will enter open fields, passing by Platt Wood and Crow Wood, before heading north along Elmerhurst Wood. The route then reaches Bollinhurst Brook and returns to the starting point by heading west. Please note that certain parts of this trail can be muddy in winter and after wet weather, and there are a few stiles and many gates along the route
