About the event
This is a beautiful trail taking you around Hollins Hill and up to Chrome Hill in Peak District National Park.
The route involves a couple of steep sections and loose rocks, so take care and come prepared with the appropriate footwear.
The trail starts in the small village of Hollinsclough in the Dove Valley. From here, follow the path across the valley and continue up along the slopes of Hollins Hill. The path leads you around the hill before making the northeastern approach to Chrome Hill. This area is a Site of Special Scientific Interest and was a prehistoric limestone reef knoll. As you make your way along, you may even spot some fossils along the way, as well as fascinating limestone formations. Continue along the ridge, following the undulating Dragon’s Back, reminiscent of a sleeping dragon. After descending to the road, make your way across the valley back…
